Jessica Reiss, PMHNP
I am a board certified PMHNP and FNP. I have been working in health care for over 20 years. I started as an ICU nurse and then worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner for over 15 years. Over the years, I have become more interested in the impact of mental health on people and their lives. So, I pursued my psychiatric degree to be better equipped to diagnose and treat clients' mental health concerns.
As your provider, you can expect me to walk alongside you as you pursue wholeness and health in your life. My practice style is collaborative, evidence-based and conservative. I seek to provide education and options as we decide on a treatment plan that you feel fits your needs and desires. While my treatment focus is often related to prescribing medications, I also incorporate therapy models into my practice and believe that learning ways to practice self compassion, change thoughts, patterns, and behaviors are very important to a healthy lifestyle and fulfilling relationships.
I enjoy seeing clients that are struggling with depression, anxiety and mood disorders. I believe that changes in life circumstances can highlight underlying issues and these are good times to have someone come alongside for support and resources. And, I welcome the opportunity to provide a safe place for people who have experienced trauma and need healing. I see clients age 13 and older.
