Trying to make changes in your life? Interested in strengthening insight, expanding perspectives, and improving your mental wellbeing? I’m here to help you through a use of eclectic therapy approaches and a mutual understanding that we are doing this work together. I strive to provide a non-judgemental and safe space to help you effectively explore, understand and make meaning of your experiences, your interactions with others, and the challenges of navigating the world.
My techniques are most effective when working with clients who are looking to make internal and/or external changes to move towards a state of mental wellness. I predominantly use techniques which increase mindfulness, embrace unique aspects of self, and increase strategies for alleviating distress. This includes interventions such as EMDR, feminist theory, mindfulness/meditation practices, CBT, DBT, strengths-based and client-centered techniques.
My areas of focus include ADHD, ASD, anxiety, interpersonal relationships, identity exploration/self-acceptance, and trauma. I have additional interest in understanding the impacts of systemic influences and oppression on our wellbeing as well as the research on the use of psychedelics and holistic approaches as a means of improving mental health.
My professional experience within mental health started in 2015 and I have a background working with a variety of ages, disorders/diagnoses, and treatment settings. I obtained my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Northern Colorado, Denver campus and earned my Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from North Dakota State University before moving to Colorado.
