Megan Sears, MA
LPCC
Hi! I’m Megan (she/her), and my therapeutic approach is grounded in trust, warmth, and curiosity, creating a space where you can show up just as you are. I view therapy as a collaborative process centered on your unique needs, values, and hopes for healing.
I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University and am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) under supervision in Colorado. I am also a Certified Grief-Informed Professional (CGP) and have received training in Brainspotting (Level 1).
I work with adults navigating anxiety, trauma, shame, and identity exploration, with a particular focus on grief and loss. This includes both the death of a loved one and more complex forms of loss, such as relationship changes, life transitions, health concerns, or the loss of expected futures.
I am especially drawn to grief that feels overwhelming, stuck, or hard to make sense of, as well as grief that intersects with trauma or identity shifts. My approach is not about “moving on,” but about making space for your experience while exploring meaning, identity, and connection over time.
My work is informed by Brainspotting, ACT, parts-informed and DBT approaches, and somatic awareness, all held within a strengths-based lens. Together, we will slow things down, make space for what has been hard to hold alone, and build ways of relating to your experiences that feel more manageable and aligned with who you want to be.
Outside of therapy, I am a mom of two, a gamer, and a lover of all things weird and vintage, especially rotary phones, old records, and quirky collectibles. I live with my husband, our kids, and our three hilarious pets, Leela, Fry, and Bizz.
