Carly Tucker, BS
Counseling Intern
Hi, my name is Carly (she/her). I received my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and I am currently an intern at Creekside working towards my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Northern Colorado, Denver.
As a counselor in training, my aim is to offer a comfortable and secure environment where we can explore your goals and needs, and recognize your inherent strengths and values. Our sessions will be tailored to align with what is meaningful to you, and you can expect me to approach our work together with empathy and authenticity. I have experience working at various levels of care with adults and adolescents navigating eating disorders and mood/anxiety disorders. My counseling approach is collaborative and person-centered, and I integrate elements of CBT, DBT, and narrative therapy. Taking this step to seek therapy is courageous, and I am looking forward to supporting you on your journey!
Outside of counseling, I enjoy hiking, reading, and practicing yoga. My two cats, King Julien and Percy, also keep me busy!
