Rachael Conrad, MS
Counseling Intern

Hello everyone! My name is Rachael, and I am a graduate student pursuing my master's degree in clinical mental health counseling through the University of Northern Colorado. As a Practicum student and Intern at Creekside Collaborative Therapy, my goal is to best utilize my background in group counseling as well as psychoeducation, strength-based growth, cognitive-behavioral therapy, self-compassion, geek therapy and solution focused to meet individuals where they are at in their journeys. It’s my belief that at the foundation of a relationship is where we can start to cultivate empathy, create a safe and welcoming space where individuals feel free to come as they are without fear of judgement. It’s my hope that we can forge this space together
so that I can walk in tandem to the unique journey that you are trekking.

When I am not at school or in the hospital, I am a creative mind waiting to be unleashed. I am an avid reader, movie watcher, weightlifter and taking my dog to look at the turtles. I am also constantly on the lookout for how I can relate pop culture to therapeutic topics and healing in the real world!

I tend to think about much of the world through a literary example. If you were born as a blank canvas, your life and your experiences have added to the canvas over time. It is my belief that we are all a work in progress, and like any piece of artwork there is a saying to accompany it; trust the process. I am excited and eager to work alongside you as we continue to add more experience to that canvas together.
