Liz Mihai, BS
Counseling Intern

Hey y’all! My name is Liz, and I am a therapist in training, committed to helping people by taking a look at the world through their eyes. I am a practicum student at the University of Denver, and I am completing a Master’s in Counseling Psychology. As a therapist in training at Creekside Collaborative Therapy, I aim to use your strengths to improve and find solutions that fit you best. I use a mix of Humanistic & Existential theory to understand your goals and challenge self-limiting beliefs. I am fascinated by the mind-body connection and I will utilize mindfulness techniques in session. I believe that you are the expert to your experience, so my role is to understand your nuances. My hope is to provide an environment where you feel comfortable, safe and secure to explore all faucets of you and foster change and growth.

In my free time, I love going on hikes (only if there’s a waterfall or creek nearby), and strolling through museums or the botanical gardens. I am a huge fan of anime and documentaries, and the occasional scary movie. My biggest supporter is my dog Xena (named after the princess warrior). She is my kryptonite for sleeping in and cuddling in the morning. From thrifting to antique malls, I am always on the hunt for a vintage find.

I feel privileged to be in this field and connect with people of all walks of life. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with you!
