Katrina Zimmerman, BA
Clinical Social Work Intern
Hello, I'm Katrina (she/hers)! I hold a Bachelor's in Sociology and Elementary Education from CU Boulder. I have over a decade of experience in youth-focused roles and worked as a case manager for the past five years supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I am pursuing my Master’s in Social Work at MSU Denver, focusing on mental and behavioral health, particularly for youth.
I believe that every person is worthy of support in pursuing the life they want. I reflect this belief in my clinical work through a strengths-based, client-centered, and trauma-informed approach. I strive to walk alongside individuals in their life experiences with openness, supporting them in navigating challenges and building resilience. I emphasize self-compassion, empowerment, and mind-body connection to facilitate meaningful and sustainable change where it is desired. My experience and interests include supporting youth, women, and LGBTQIA+ populations, as well as individuals navigating anxiety, depression, grief, and other mental health needs.
