Jamela graduated from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) with her Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2018 and later attended the University of Indianapolis to obtain her Masters in Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in children/adolescents, graduating in 2021. She is currently working towards obtaining licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor.

Jamela enjoys working with kids, teens, and young adults. She has spent time working as an ABA therapist, residential treatment facility therapist, and school-based therapist. Jamela enjoys utilizing a person-centered approach while incorporating EMDR, CBT, and mindfulness techniques.

Jamela has relocated to Colorado in June 2021 with her fiancé and is excited to explore everything outdoorsy that the state has to offer. She is a fur mama to her cat, Theo, and puppy, Lula. She enjoys hiking, traveling, trying new food cuisines, and hanging out with family & friends.
